The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Monday has condemned the previous Chairman of the ancient Pension Reform Task Team, PRTT, Mr Abdulrasheed Maina, to 61 years in jail for tax evasion.
In a judgment that was conveyed by Justice Okon Abang on Monday, Maina was viewed very muchblameworthy on a few charges of Money Laundering.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, recorded a 12 charge argument against maina and his organization, Common Input Property and Investment Limited.
Abang held that the counter join organization effectively settled the fundamental elements of the offenses contained in the charge, without question. He held that the sentence would run simultaneously, with impact from October 25, 2019.
The court requested Maina and his firm to restore about N2.1billion that was followed to their financial balances, to the Federal Government, after which it requested that the organization ought to be twisted up.
He additionally requested the relinquishment of Maina’s properties in Abuja.
