Gov Kabir

The Governor-elect of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has accused the incumbent governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, of releasing a substantial amount of money to local governments ahead of the upcoming supplementary elections in the state. This news was reported by various media outlets.

In a public advisory statement, Yusuf’s Chief Press Secretary, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, alleged that at least N181 million had been released to three local government areas to fund the election. Yusuf’s statement also claimed that other local government councils were slated to receive hundreds of millions of Naira to finance the elections.

The Governor-elect’s allegations suggest that there may be potential political tensions or controversies related to the use of public funds for elections in Kano. It will be essential for authorities and citizens to investigate any allegations of misappropriation of public funds and ensure that the electoral process is transparent and fair
