Opeyemi Famakin, a well-known Nigerian food and wine critic, has expressed concern on Instagram after receiving death threats from fans of Don Jazzy, a popular Nigerian musician and entrepreneur.

Famakin had previously reviewed Don Jazzy’s burger when it was launched three months ago, and recently decided to review it again to highlight any improvements. However, he noted some shortcomings, including not receiving a side of fries with a N12K burger.

In the course of his review, Famakin criticized Don Jazzy, leading to threats from his fans. Famakin has stated that this is the first time he has received death threats and is afraid

He wrote:

“The Number of Death Threats I’ve gotten today from Don Jazzy Fans

For the first time in my life, As a food critic, I am Legit scared for my life

If anything happens to me, it was nice serving y’all

Remember, If I said it, then I meant it”
