Falz, a well-known Nigerian rapper, has discussed why he criticized the INEC head. Folarin Falana is also known as Falz.
In his latest song, he explained why he targeted Prof. Mahmood Yabuku, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
According to him, the song “Yakubu” is founded on “his truth” regarding the elections.
“INEC’s performance at the just concluded elections was a big mess,” the singer who denounced the violence and election-related manipulation said.
“There is nothing that I or Vector are stating on this record that hasn’t happened,” he insisted.
“We aren’t making up information or inventing facts, and we aren’t imagining events that never happened.
As events occur, we are reporting them to you.
“We went to the polls and cast our votes, and then all of a sudden, everything was in disarray in front of our eyes.” Even after all the countless instances of violence we saw, nothing was done about it.
