The All Progressives Congress (APC) announced that President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is currently resting in Europe before his inauguration on May 29. Felix Morka, the APC National Publicity Secretary, provided this information during an interview on the Politics Today programme on Channels Television.
Morka mentioned that Tinubu is in good health and will return to work immediately after he returns from Europe. When asked about Tinubu’s location, Morka responded that he is “probably in Europe” and taking a moment to relax after the strenuous election period.
Morka further stated that once Tinubu returns, he will be responsible for leading Nigeria, a complex and extensive country. He also clarified that Tinubu’s rest period is a working one, as he is engaging in meetings with heads of government from other countries, in preparation for his inauguration.
Morka explained that Tinubu is making connections with individuals who are important to the agenda he plans to implement in his new government. Therefore, he is not just resting, but also engaging in various activities that require his attention.
It is worth noting that Tinubu won the Presidential election on February 25 and was declared the President-Elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
