The Kaduna government has mandated the hiring of 1,288 primary school teachers who were dismissed ten months ago.

The News Agency of Nigeria reported that this is the case.

Over 2,000 state school teachers were fired by the Kaduna government in June 2022 after they failed a competency exam.

The development was revealed in a statement on Wednesday, according to NAN, by Hauwa Mohammed, spokesperson for the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (KADSUBEB).
