According to a source in the community who spoke to journalists, the boy who is now missing departed from his family’s residence and went to an unspecified location after reportedly receiving a scolding from his mother due to his misbehavior.
The Abia State Police Command has declared a 16-year-old boy named Chibuike Onyebuchi missing. According to a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Geoffrey Ogbonna, the missing boy left his family compound in Abam Nsirimo, Ubakala, Umuahia South LGA on March 31, 2023, after a quarrel with his mother, Mrs Ihuoma Johnson.
It was reported by a community source that Chibuike Onyebuchi left his home following an altercation with his mother, who scolded him for misbehaving. All efforts by his family to locate him have proved abortive, hence the police command’s announcement.
The press release urges the general public to report any information on the whereabouts of Master Chibuike Onyebuchi to the nearest police station or the Police headquarters at Bende Road, Umuahia
