The newly inaugurated Blue Line Rail in Marina, Lagos, was seen being “pushed” in a viral video, prompting the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority LAMATA to open its doors. Nigerians have reacted differently to the popular video that was posted on social media on Saturday, April 1. The Blue Line Rail test ride for a select group of residents was just a week ago. The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority LAMATA responded to the footage by claiming it was outdated. LAMATA claims that when the train first arrived, the contractor’s employees were horsing around it when the footage was taken. A train that is 84 meters long cannot be moved by four people, the agency added.
