After the Aviation Minister disclosed that N12 billion was spent on acquiring 10 fire fighting trucks for use at airports, Nigerian politician Omoyele Sowore accused him of lying.
Additionally, Sirika stated that “safety has been the Buhari focus in aviation since 2015″ before adding that “more will come in due course.
“ Yele Sowore, a human rights advocate and African Action Congress (AAC) presidential contender, responded by writing: “Wow! You’re saying that you spent more than $2 million on each fire truck.
There will always be miracles. Nigeria was truly destroyed by you and @mbuhari.
He added:
“Pure thieves! Buhari’s aviation minister @hadisirika claimed he purchased airport fire engines for $2.1million apiece #RevolutionNow.”
