Festus Keyamo, the spokesman for the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, has criticized the “Obidients,” or the backers of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.
He claimed that as a result of the criticisms they have received over the past few days, they had entirely lost who they are.
He made this claim in a post on Sunday using his verified Twitter account.
But the state minister for labor and employment claimed to have some happy news for them.
The minister urged the “Obidients” to leave the dishonorable organization as soon as possible and work with the elected president to advance the nation. He labeled these people as rational patriots.
He asserted that the Obidients were swearing and cursing at every alleged foe and had begun to sound upset, claiming that this is a sign of a feeble mentality.
His tweet included the following quote: “Just one recording sent them into a sad tailspin with close aides simultaneously confirming and refuting the audio like a ragtag army.
And after receiving a barrage of criticism from unexpected sources over the past few days, they have gone utterly bonkers. They are sounding increasingly despondent as they swear and curse at every alleged adversary. It reveals a feeble mentality.
But I have excellent news for them: it is now time for the patriotic, rational members of this group to leave this ignoble bubble and work with the incoming administration to advance this nation. Anything short of it would be comparable to perpetually ‘living in bondage’!”
