The Force’s spokesperson, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, issued a statement on Saturday, April 8, denouncing the actions of the officers and announcing their identification and arrest.
They will be taken to Force Headquarters for questioning and any appropriate disciplinary action. Such behavior is unlawful and is in no way tolerable. We therefore value the concern of well-meaning Nigerians and organizations who have brought our attention to and taken action on the video. We’ll continue to adopt and support technologies and concepts that can help the Police make positive changes, he said.
