He stated that in order to uphold peace in the region, the government made illegal social activities such as Kidan Bishi, Kidan Gala (a drama house), and shooting excursions.

The killing of two persons in Sabon Garin Nasarawa, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has led to the police’s detention of three suspects.

According to DAILY POST, the violence on Sunday night that left two residents dead and six others injured prompted the Kaduna government for implementing a 24-hour curfew on Sabon Garin Nasarawa on Monday.

In a statement on Monday, Samuel Aruwan, the state commissioner for the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, said that the incident compelled the state government to put into effect a 24-hour curfew on the region to prevent an escalation of violence to other parts of the state.

In order to maintain the peace in the area, he claimed that the government had outlawed social activities like Kidan Bishi and Kidan Gala (a drama house) as well as hunting excursions.

Anyone connected to the sale of hard drugs in the Nasarawa and Sabon Garin Nasarawa regions should be detained, the commissioner ordered security personnel.

In addition to the two citizens who were killed, six other people were hurt and are currently getting medical care, according to the statement. It also stated that numerous vehicles and other property were destroyed.

The military and police would move quickly, according to Governor Nasir El-Rufai, to stop the violence from spreading outside of the immediate area.

He gave his word that the situation would be fully investigated.
